Here I am again beginning another quarter at UW. I'm not really in the mood...but it's my last year.
Today I was feeling icky so I didn't go to class (today was a non-art class day, so it was OK) and instead moped around the house for a while until I got the brilliant idea to try out a few art programs. My Corel PSP died a while back when my laptop kept overheating and shutting down on its own...after doing that twice while running PSP, it's broken. I tried re-downloading it but it didn't work, and I didn't really feel like dealing with customer service, then my laptop started shutting down anytime I ran any program, so I was without computer art for a long time. I guess about 9 months or so.
Anyway I finally got a laptop fan that works, and I can run any program I want again! I decided to download free trials of Corel Painter and SAI, and so far I love them both. I will probably be buying Painter, and maybe SAI too if I find that it does things Painter can't do.
I'm so excited. Sometimes I just really need to unwind with some computer art. It's relaxing...I tend to stress out when confronted by blank paper or canvas on my own because I have this idea that whatever I come up with had better be really good. With computer art, who cares, I just make a mess and delete it if I don't like it.

And I'm going to need the stress release this quarter. My art teacher totally feeds my fears and makes me feel paralyzed. So I'm going to need this to free myself up.

Thanks so much to all my watchers. I see that I recently turned over 16,000. You guys are awesome.
