So a couple of my school friends said they wanted to watch me paint, and since it's pretty inconvenient to get together and paint, I decided to start a series of videos on You Tube. :XD:

I'm a little bit nervous/embarrassed about it, but if you're curious, go ahead and check them out. The quality is fairly poor...I don't have video editing software or anything like that, and didn't even use a tripod for my first video. I'm learning though!

I hope everybody is having a lovely summer! :sun:

Hi everybody! I'm sorry it's been so long since I've been active. For some reason, this quarter was insanely busy/exhausting/draining. But it's over! And I am not doing a full course-load this summer, only one class! So I'm planning on being here more often in the next few months. I have a feeling I'll be disappearing again in autumn. Only one year until I graduate! :)

I'm about to post the artwork I did over the past few months, with the exception of two I did winter quarter that my teacher finally just gave back to me. (I still have some drawings from autumn that haven't been returned to me yet!)

Then maybe I can start tackling my deviations...I have over 1,000 to go through, and 45 messages. :faint: It'll be great though! I've missed you all so much!!

Special love to Faeolan and Gigi. I hope life has been treating you well lately, my darlings. :blowkiss:

;p

Winter quarter is over; Spring quarter starts Monday. A year from now, it will almost be time to graduate. O_O

I feel like this coming quarter will be a calm-down compared to Winter, in which I had two full days of Zhi a week and I was going insane. I'll still have Zhi Monday and Wednesday for three hours in the early afternoon, but I'll also have Denzil Tuesday and Thursday (along with some other boring class on business finance) and I think that will be calmer. He's supposed to be a really nice guy, and more intuitive than Zhi, which I think I need right now. I need SOME other input, anyway! ^^; Except with him, I'll only be painting ... cubes.

Summer will be so relaxing. I'm only taking one class, an internship, and it's only about four hours a week. After the quarter is over, Dan and I are planning on going to Spain!

I can only hope that I'll never have to take another Zhi class again... X3

Here I am again beginning another quarter at UW. I'm not really in the mood...but it's my last year.

Today I was feeling icky so I didn't go to class (today was a non-art class day, so it was OK) and instead moped around the house for a while until I got the brilliant idea to try out a few art programs. My Corel PSP died a while back when my laptop kept overheating and shutting down on its own...after doing that twice while running PSP, it's broken. I tried re-downloading it but it didn't work, and I didn't really feel like dealing with customer service, then my laptop started shutting down anytime I ran any program, so I was without computer art for a long time. I guess about 9 months or so.

Anyway I finally got a laptop fan that works, and I can run any program I want again! I decided to download free trials of Corel Painter and SAI, and so far I love them both. I will probably be buying Painter, and maybe SAI too if I find that it does things Painter can't do.

I'm so excited. Sometimes I just really need to unwind with some computer art. It's relaxing...I tend to stress out when confronted by blank paper or canvas on my own because I have this idea that whatever I come up with had better be really good. With computer art, who cares, I just make a mess and delete it if I don't like it. ;p And I'm going to need the stress release this quarter. My art teacher totally feeds my fears and makes me feel paralyzed. So I'm going to need this to free myself up. :strip:

Thanks so much to all my watchers. I see that I recently turned over 16,000. You guys are awesome.

So I haven't been posting much... :XD: Or keeping up with my deviations very well. School has been insane lately. I was really busy summer quarter, then we went on a busy vacation between summer and autumn quarters, and now my autumn quarter is busier than ever...and next quarter is looking like it's going to be worse. I'm teetering in burning out...so I bought a big art box and organized all of my art supplies which seem to be growing mountains around me and making me feel suffocated. I have been doing a lot of soul-searching lately trying to figure out what kind of artist I want to be (still haven't decided). I've decided to spend more time on deviantart posting things than on catching up on other people's postings. I think I'm going to delete most of my watch list, except for my friends and my favorite favorite artists, because it's getting to feel like an obligation, and the style that needs to inspire me right now is not highly represented on deviantart. I'm at the point where I have to either throw everything into my schoolwork and really cut back on things like deviation-viewing I do for recreation, or just give up on schoolwork. So I pick the first one. :XD:

It's going to be harder to delete artists from my watch list than I thought! I currently have 60 messages and 2500 deviations to go through, and as soon as I see them I'm like, oh, I can't delete that. But I have no TIME for it!

But I love posting art here, so I'm going to try to do that more often.

Thanks so much for watching and commenting everybody! You are awesome.
